The IELTS exam is one of the most widely accepted English language tests for students who wish to study, work, or migrate abroad. It evaluates your abilities in listening, reading, writing, and speaking English. Most universities in the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand accept IELTS scores, and some U.S. institutions do as well. There are two types: IELTS Academic for higher education and IELTS General Training for work and migration. Scores are given in bands from 0 to 9, and the result is valid for two years.
The TOEFL test measures the academic English proficiency of non-native speakers and is a requirement for admission to many universities, especially in the USA, Canada, and parts of Europe and Asia. It tests four key language skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The TOEFL is typically taken online (iBT version) and is scored out of 120. Like IELTS, TOEFL scores are valid for two years and serve as proof of your readiness to study in an English-speaking academic environment.
The GRE is a standardized exam required by many universities, especially in the United States, for admission into graduate programs such as Master’s and PhDs. It assesses a student's abilities in verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning (math), and analytical writing. The GRE is an important factor in the admission process, especially for competitive programs. Scores for the verbal and quantitative sections range from 130 to 170, while the analytical writing section is scored from 0 to 6. GRE scores are valid for five years and are often considered alongside academic records and other qualifications.
